| I think I missed a month somewhere! Well, things have seemed to happen all at once and right on top of each other. So this will be two months combined. The biggest event was the birth of our grandson, Luke. His sister calls him Bubbie, since her parents have eliminated Bubba as a choice! Good move. |

K & L Farm Announcement We were looking for a jenny as a mate to Taze, our Mammoth Donkey and found these two little darlings instead! They are young Miniature Donkeys and just as cute as they can be! Ken had his grandchildren in mind I am sure! He got little harnesses and this is their first day to wear them. Donkeys are so smart and so easy to train, although it doesn't look like it from the picture! |

Beautiful Bride, beautiful day, lots of fun! |
| I did manage to do some work these past two months! I repainted our Wedding Carriage with new ornamentation and made new floral decorations. I painted another sign for the City of Andersonville that is a replica of the larger one I had on March's Newspage. My next project with Andersonville is very exciting! I am going to cut out of sheet metal two soldiers with waving flags to go up on their arch into the City. I painted a sign for the old Schley County High School Gym. The Recreation Department is moving into the old building and it is also used for community events. It has new windows and more renovation is in the works. I offered to paint a sign to give it some identity, and since everyone refers to the building as "the old gym", that is what the sign says! I will put a shot of the sign in place next month but I want to get this NewsPage on the web so I will just take a picture of it in my shop to show you now. This week I start on Amelia's Mural in downtown Ellaville. I applied for a Grassroots Arts Program Grant for Schley County and decided to paint the store across from Planters Hardware which was once Amelia's Dress Shop - owned and operated by Robbie Pilcher's late mother, Amelia. Robbie and Harriet Pilcher are renovating the building to be used by the community! They are going to put up a screen on the exterior of the building on which to show movies. We are calling them "Sidewalk Movies". I am painting one old photograph of the Hardware building when it was Royal Brothers at the turn of the last century, and a store front into Amelia's shop, plus a lot of bring details. |
