The Andersonville Guild obtained a Grassroots Arts Program Grant
through the Georgia Council for the Arts for me to create a family group of Civil War figures.
These include a Union soldier, a Confederate soldier, a Lady, a Union drummer boy, a
Confederate drummer boy, and two little girls.  These figures are kept in the pavilion in
Andersonville and are available for tourists to create personal Civil War portraits!
Paula Kelly wanted me to design a
logo for her mobile restaurant.  I told
her it had to be big.  I like to paint big!
I painted this sign for the SCACCI Group that is
working to create a Resource Center at the old
John Lewis School in Ellaville.
I have started work on the Grassroots Arts Program Grant, through the Georgia Council for the Arts, and
in partnership with the City Of Ellaville.  It is a group of four murals celebrating the lives of three
individuals - Dr. Boyette, Endine Hart, and Napoleon Aldridge.  The fourth mural is a Kwanzaa US postal
stamp that was designed by Schley County native, Daniel Minter in 2004.  Here is a picture of the work in
progress.  Located on the Pretty Nails Building beside the IGA parking lot, my work will finish just about
the same time as the addition to the IGA !
